The Ginger Martini……what a great find. This unique drink was on the cocktail menu in the lobby bar at the San Francisco Marriott on Union Square when I stayed there a while back. It was made with a premium gin and ginger liqueur, and it was refreshing and delicious. I watched the bartender make our second martini so I would know how to make them at home. I noticed that he was pouring something out of a very strange looking bottle. Later, I found out it was called “Domaine De Canton”. It is a ginger liqueur made in France with VSOP Cognac. He also was using a gin made locally in San Francisco, “No. 209 Gin”. But any premium gin would work fine. If you are looking for something a little different to make with gin, and you like the flavor of ginger, then this might be one for you.
If using large martini glasses double the recipe.
