BBQ pork pizza–what an interesting concept. I love BBQ pork that is slow smoked and I am obsessed with pizza, so I couldn’t think of anything better to do with left over smoked pork then put it on pizza. After I recently cooked my Smoked Pork Shoulder for a neighborhood potluck dinner, I managed to sneak away with just a little bit of the leftovers. Using my favorite recipe for homemade pizza dough that I learned at a local pizza class, I decided to combine the pork with caramelized onions and create something a little different from my usual classic Italian-style pizza. The result was delicious! If you don’t want to go to the trouble of caramelizing onions, an option might be to use chopped green onions as a topping when the pizza comes out of the oven. The onion flavor complements the pork, but the smoky pork flavor is the real star. I hope you enjoy.

Ingredients
- 1 Pizza Crust
- 1/4 Cup Pizza Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons BBQ Sauce
- 2 Cups Shredded Pork
- 1 Cup Mozzarella
- 1/2 Cup Red Onions (Caramelized)
